From 2nd February to 30th September inclusive, the Estate is able to offer pigeon shooting over about 1500 acres which is planted with wheat, rape, beans and so on.

Days start at 9.00am with a cup of tea in the guns’ mess.  Guns are given a map of the Estate and ‘talked’ around this before being driven around for about 30 minutes.  At this point, the DIY kicks in, and guns are then at liberty to roam the Estate and set up pretty much wherever they like.  Guns can choose between decoying, for which they will need to bring their own equipment, and roost shooting, or they can simply wander the woods and hedgerows at their leisure taking pigeon, corvid, rabbits and squirrel.

The cost is £60 plus VAT per gun per day, or £300 plus VAT for a season ticket entitling them to come as often as they like during February to September inclusive.  The Estate can take up to 6 pigeon shooters on any one day.
