Cream Flesh · Heritage
King Edward
This traditional British heritage potato dates back to 1902 and is a firm favourite in domestic and commercial kitchens alike. With a cream and pink parti-coloured skin encasing a light cream flesh this variety has a fluffy texture making it perfect for roasting, baking, wedging and mashing. As with other floury varieties be careful when boiling as they will break up easily.

About this variety
A traditional British heritage variety dating back to 1902, grown in Kent.
Storing your potatoes
When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. Stored correctly they should keep well for up to a month.
In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They'll try to grow once the warmer weather arrives, as we don't spray our potatoes with any sprout-inhibiting chemicals. Kept in the fridge they should last a couple of weeks.
A note on seed potatoes
All our varieties are grown from certified seed stock. If you'd like to grow your own, some of our varieties are available as seed potatoes in early spring - get in touch to find out what's available.
