Russet Burbank
An American heritage variety, Russet Burbank was first bred in Idaho in 1914. With a light brown skin concealing a white flesh this potato is best mashed, chipped, wedged, baked or roasted due to its floury texture. This is the second year we have grown these and they are proving to be a firm favourite with our customers (and staff!).

About this variety
An American heritage variety first bred in Idaho in 1914, grown in Kent.
Storing your potatoes
When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. Stored correctly they should keep well for up to a month.
In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They'll try to grow once the warmer weather arrives, as we don't spray our potatoes with any sprout-inhibiting chemicals. Kept in the fridge they should last a couple of weeks.
A note on seed potatoes
All our varieties are grown from certified seed stock. If you'd like to grow your own, some of our varieties are available as seed potatoes in early spring - get in touch to find out what's available.
