Heide Red was recently developed and bred on the Lüneburger heath in North Germany. Similar to our Lily Rose it has a red skin and matching red flesh that retains it’s colour when cooked. With a waxy texture it is perfect for boiling, steaming, mashing or roasting to add some colour to your meal.

Storing your potatoes

When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. Stored correctly they should keep well for up to a month.

In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They'll try to grow once the warmer weather arrives, as we don't spray our potatoes with any sprout-inhibiting chemicals. Kept in the fridge they should last a couple of weeks.

A note on seed potatoes
