Kerr's Pink

£3.75 – £15.50

Kerr’s Pink was originally bred in Scotland in 1907 but within a decade had been exported to Ireland where it quickly became established as a staple variety. With a light pink skin and a cream coloured flesh they have a floury texture making them perfect for mashing, roasting, wedging and baking. They can also be boiled or steamed but be sure to keep an eye on them as they will break up easily.

About this variety

Bred in Scotland in 1907, grown in Kent.

Storing your potatoes

When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. Stored correctly they should keep well for up to a month.

In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They'll try to grow once the warmer weather arrives, as we don't spray our potatoes with any sprout-inhibiting chemicals. Kept in the fridge they should last a couple of weeks.

A note on seed potatoes

All our varieties are grown from certified seed stock. If you'd like to grow your own, some of our varieties are available as seed potatoes in early spring - get in touch to find out what's available.
