With golden skin and very attractive purple eyes, Irish Gold can do it all. It is similar to Kerr’s Pink with its dry, floury texture. It is a very versatile variety with a sweet flavour and can be boiled, baked, steamed & roasted. It is also great mashed due to its creamy, fluffy flesh!

Storing your potatoes

When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. Stored correctly they should keep well for up to a month.

In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They'll try to grow once the warmer weather arrives, as we don't spray our potatoes with any sprout-inhibiting chemicals. Kept in the fridge they should last a couple of weeks.

A note on seed potatoes

All our varieties are grown from certified seed stock. If you'd like to grow your own, some of our varieties are available as seed potatoes in early spring - get in touch to find out what's available.

Delivery information
