Mail order terms and conditions
We will pack the highest quality produce on the first working day after your order is received.
Your potatoes will be packed unwashed to preserve their shelf life unless you specifically ask us to wash them for you.
They will be shipped to you using an external courier service; if you have any delivery preferences let us know so we can advise the courier company, e.g. leave with neighbours, in porch etc.
Please make sure you input your correct delivery address, particularly your post code. We reserve the right to increase the delivery charge if your details have been loaded incorrectly and the courier company charges us more. We will contact you if there is a problem of this nature.
Postage costs are £5 for potatoes weighing 1kg to 14kg, £10 for potatoes weighing 14kg to 28kg within mainland UK – anything above this weight, please contact us for a price. For firewood or potatoes over 28kg the shipping is calculated per mile from Morghew. This is only intended for local deliveries as long distances get very expensive.
Delivery charges (From: TN30 7LR To: Customer postcode)
£1/mile for the first 8 miles
£2/mile for 8-16 miles
£4/mile for 16 miles and above
Delivery is charged for the one-way trip only.
Delivery charges are for the cost of delivery to the customer address and tipping only.
A log stacking service is not provided at the destination.
The customer needs to provide a clear area for trailer reversing and tipping of the load. (2 car lengths).
We can send potatoes within the EU – postage rates are approximately £15 per parcel up to 14kg. Please email us with your order, full postal address and contact details. We will contact you with a quote for the full cost including postage. Some out of the way destinations are not covered, we will need to check with the courier company before we quote.
If you do not receive your package in the delivery time frame please advise us within 24hrs so we can chase for you.
We pack to order, Monday to Friday, the delivery service we use is working day although they may deliver at weekends during busy periods.
When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in a cool, dark place during the winter months.
In spring/summer you may prefer to refrigerate them to prevent them from trying to grow – which they will try to do once the warmer weather starts to arrive, as we do not spray our potatoes with any sprout inhibiting chemical.
Our potatoes are not certified seed potatoes and are sold for cooking and eating purposes, although they will try to grow given a chance!
If you have any problems with your order please contact us – the phone is not generally manned at weekends but emails are regularly monitored.
