It was with great sadness that the staff and friends of Morghew Park heard, yesterday morning, of the passing of Don Chapman, at the age of 78.
Donald started work on the Estate in 2001, when Tom Lewis took over, and he worked-full time until 2013. Having spent much of his working life on golf courses, landscaping and drainage projects, he was instrumental in sculpting the woodland rides that now form the backbone of the Morghew Shoot.
Even after retiring from full-time work, Donald came back every summer to mow lawns throughout the Estate, and he will be sorely missed by all of us.
Donald leaves a wife, Rose, and two sons.
