Stoneground Wholemeal Spelt Flour


Morghew Spelt flour has arrived! Practically milled to order we offer fresh wholemeal flour that brings an earthy, slightly salty mineral tone to your bakes. Great in sweet and savoury recipes this can be used for wholemeal spelt bread, sourdough, cakes, cookies, pancakes and more. This flour adds a depth of flavour and extra texture not possible with plain white flours alone.

Because our flour is traditionally stoneground and the whole spelt grain is included this is a natural wholefood with all of the goodness left in. Spelt flour is quite light and airy compared to other wholemeal flours however we still recommend mixing with a little white bread flour for loaves as it has slightly less gluten than other varieties.
