Blue Anneliese
£4.00 – £18.00
Bred from Violetta, Blue Anneliese has a similar deep purple, fluffy flesh and a sweet, delicate flavour. Delicious boiled or steamed they can be used to brighten up a salad or try them mashed for something different. For the most vibrant results it’s best to cook them with their skins on to retain their colour.
Being one of our colourful varieties they are rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanin which lays claim to a variety of health benefits including improved cardiovascular health, dementia prevention and increased longevity. As well as the fact that potatoes are very low in sugar and salt and are gluten- and fat-free this variety is definitely one to try if you are looking for a healthy meal option.

* Please note: these are not certified seed potatoes. They’re not sprayed with chemicals so will grow if given the chance but we’ve grown them for eating. We recommend planting them in your oven, not in the garden! *

Storage and Other Tips
When you receive your potatoes we advise you keep them in cool, dark, dry, frost-free conditions during the winter months. They should keep well for up to a month if stored correctly.
In spring and summer you may prefer to refrigerate them. They will try to grow once the warmer weather starts to arrive as we do not spray our potatoes with any sprout inhibiting chemicals. Kept in stable conditions they will keep well for a week, we advise that you only order as many as you need during these periods.
Our potatoes are not certified seed potatoes (unless explicitly stated). They’re not sprayed with chemicals so will grow if given the chance but we’ve grown them for eating. We recommend planting them in your oven, not in the garden!
